Cambodia has a rich history in the art of pottery, and the practice of this ancient craft has been revived by Siem Reap social enterprise Khmer Ceramics. For over a decade, their fine arts centre has been contributing to the development of disadvantaged communities, providing on-the-job training and opportunities for nearly 100 local staff, including women and people with disabilities. Their unique ceramic pieces, inspired by the Angkor era, showcase Khmer cultural heritage, as well as offering functional and decorative items that suit contemporary lifestyles through their international brand Saoy.
