Away from the temples and Pub Street fun, The Cambodian Landmine Museum is a stark reminder of the brutal and shocking past of this amazing country. Created to educate visitors and locals alike about the very real dangers of landmines which still exists in the Kingdom today, the museum was founded by Aki Ra, a former child soldier of the Khmer Rouge who returned to the villages where he planted thousands of mines to remove and defuse them by hand. First opening the museum displaying some of the items he had made safe, today the money it raises is used to care for and support child victims of landmines.
So why not give them a visit today? You can find them right here.
